Our Fees

Product licence fee quotes are based on the formula of the natural health product and are set and quoted in writing before we start any project.

Product formulas are the main factor for the amount of work to be done. For example, a single ingredient formula may require only 10 pages of documentation while a 40+ ingredient formula may require over 500 pages. (This is rare). Complexity of the ingredients is also a factor. Health Canada has produced multiple monographs or pre-cleared ingredients for many of the most commonly used ingredients and if followed, require much less work than ingredients that have not been officially accepted by Health Canada. Non monographed ingredients require a lot of scientific documentation to have them accepted and entered into the Natural Health Products Ingredient Database as described above. As part of the application process, we normally don’t charge to add your ingredient to the NHPID.

Our fees include all work to be performed for licence completion, French translation for those portions of the label that require it, label review, etc. Please call to discuss your needs.

Once quoted, our fees are final and are all-encompassing. There are no add-ons or surprises.

Site licences require a complete set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). There are some 50 different procedures that need to be included. Many companies already have their own SOPs and very often they are acceptable to Health Canada. Sometimes there needs to be some specific additions, sometimes there needs to be adjustments and sometimes we need to supply a complete set of SOPs that are specific to the company processes. As such, our fees for this varies according to the work to be supplied by us. If needed, we to supply a complete set of SOPs along with complete training for a set fee. If, however, any of the other scenarios are a factor, our fees are reduced accordingly. Please call to discuss your needs.

Once quoted, our fees are final and are all-encompassing. There are no add-ons or surprises.

Foreign Site Reference Numbers (FSRN). Since FSRNs have virtually the same requirements as Site Licences, the fees usually are the same. It is difficult to give any quotations until the state of SOPs of the “Foreign” (any company outside of Canada) companies are known. Again, please call to discuss your needs.
